Snapchat Launches AR Lens For COVID-19 Donations

Snapchat introduced a new augmented reality feature allowing users to scan 23 international currency notes and donate to COVID-19 relief.

The Snapchat Lenses are intended to bring awareness to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization (WHO).

The new Lens provides a visualization of how donations support WHO’s response efforts and allows donations by swiping up

More than 68 million consumers globally have viewed COVID-19-related content om Snapchat, according to the company.

Snapchat Calling and Snap Cameras grew by more than 50% during late March compared to late February.
